First Quarter Overview

Continuing from a very successful 2009 the Jesus Alive team executed more effective ministry throughout the First Quarter of 2010. Through nine Gospel Outreaches in rural villages of Kenya, Tanzania and the DRC a total of 89,000 souls were recorded to have made decisions for Christ. Lives and villages have been changed and continue to be changed through our ongoing Christian Discipleship Programme (CDP), which has been established in each village reached.

Kenya 1st Quarter Progress

Our Kenyan operations have started this year with impressive results and effective ministry. Kenyan villages are not always the easiest to reach, but our team there is very well-developed in all aspects of our rural evangelism model and did a superb job.

In Kenya we met our goal of evangelising two schools in each of the 3 villages visited in the First Quarter. A CDP center was also established in each village. Multitudes of souls came into the Kingdom of God during our Kenyan village outreach meetings.

The Jesus Alive Gospel Outreaches in Kenya resulted in:

• 24,000 people hearing the Gospel.
• 17, 596 decisions for Christ in 3 villages of which 2,100 were school salvations.
• A significant number of sick and infirm people testifying of healing...

Tanzania 1st Quarter Progress

We were thrilled with the explosive growth our Tanzanian team saw again in the First Quarter of 2010. Having experienced a 400% growth in recorded decisions in 2009, this team led nearly as many souls to salvation in the First Quarter of 2010 as they did in all of 2009!

In Tanzania three villages were visited in the First Quarter. A CDP center was established in each village. Countless individuals were significantly touched and changed.

The Jesus Alive Gospel Outreaches in Tanzania resulted in:

• 33,851 people hearing the Gospel
• 20, 551 decisions for Christ in 3 villages of which 1,351 were school salvations
• Many being powerfully touched by God's power

Democratic Republic of Congo 1st Quarter Progress

Though traveling on the difficult roads of rural DRC poses possibly the greatest challenge of all the countries in which we operate, the spiritual hunger of those we reach in the DRC once we arrive is also the greatest. In each village masses of people swarm to meetings, desperate for God. It is a privilege to be reaching such a ripe harvest!

This quarter the DRC team once again did a phenomenal job of effectively reaching these hungry people with the Gospel. Three villages saw masses come to Christ, touched by God and discipled through CDP.

The Jesus Alive Gospel Outreaches in the DRC resulted in:

• 53,470 people hearing the Gospel
• 50,670 decisions for Christ in 3 villages of which 470 were school salvations.
• Many testimonies of God's power to change lives
