In the beginning..........
When Peter Pretorius came to know Jesus as Lord, in December 1979, he was an affluent tobacco farmer in the Eastern Lowveld of South Africa. His father, whom Peter had a deep love and high regard for, lay in a hospital Intensive Care Unit after suffering 2 serious heart attacks within an hour.
Peter remembered a miracle he witnessed at an Oral Roberts Gospel Outreach, 17 years previously, which gave him hope that his father could be healed. He telephoned a Pastor, who insisted that they pray together on the telephone. Unbeknown to Peter, the Pastor and his Elders went to the hospital and laid hands on Peter's father, who was instantly healed.
This awesome demonstration of the love of God began a questioning in Peter's heart. This questioning was answered 3 weeks later, when both he and his wife Ann, after hearing the good news of salvation, received Jesus as Lord. A zeal to serve Him was instantly ignited in them.

Continuing from a very successful 2009 the Jesus Alive team executed more effective ministry throughout the First Quarter of 2010. Through nine Gospel Outreaches in rural villages of Kenya, Tanzania and the DRC a total of 89,000 souls were recorded to have made decisions for Christ. Lives and villages have been changed and continue to be changed through our ongoing Christian Discipleship Programme (CDP), which has been established in each village reached.
